My goals of providing comfort and support began in early life in my roles in my family and my friendships. This led me to getting my degree in social work right after high school. From there, my journey took a few unexpected turns that led me to where I am today. I got married at 20 years old and moved to Arizona to live on a military base with my husband. I learned a lot about the military and about the lives of immigrants and migrant workers. During my time there, I worked at a community college through the KEYS program providing support to first generation college students in Yuma, Arizona.

Once I moved back to Pennsylvania, I continued to learn through my work at a sheltered workshop. During my time there, I was both a job coach and a case manager for adults differently abled both physically and cognitively. From there, I moved on to getting my Masters degree in clinical social work. I learned about Gestalt Therapy during my studies and completed a three year training program through the Pennsylvania Gestalt Center. During this time, I started working as a therapist in 2018 at Berkshire Psychiatric in Reading PA. Much of my work there is with people who have low income as well as other barriers that come with living in a city.

I continue to work at Berkshire Psychiatric part time to continue to provide services to those with limited access. I created this practice to have work closer to home and be able to follow my own advice of a healthy work/life balance. Although my journey has taken me on some unexpected twists and turns, all of those experiences were important to help me become the person I am today and learn to challenge my own stuck ways of thinking. I have learned to build a relationship with myself and live my life to the fullest. It is my hope to help others navigate that journey for themselves and leave behind those things that can keep us stuck in survival mode. I look forward to learning from you as I have learned from everyone I have seen in my career and share with you the things I have learned in my own path to healing.
